Sedation Dentistry

Sedation Dentistry is cutting edge, it provides the patient the best experience when having the treatment done. Sedation dentistry helps the patient relax and be at ease in the dental chair. It is common in the dental office to hear sounds of the drills and screeching of the suction and it can cause patients to become anxious and uncomfortable even while waiting. Our office is unique in the sense with a small amount of medication the patient drifts into a light sedation or light sleep in an environment we have created to feel like home. Then, the patient is transported to a sterile surgical suite and the work is performed while they are completely comfortable and unaware of the unpleasant sounds and sensations during the procedure.

The process at Dream Dental for sedation dentistry is simple. Much like a hospital surgery, the patient will have a pre-operative visit and receive instructions for the day of surgery. On the day of surgery, the patient doesn’t have anything to eat or drink for 8 hours prior to surgery. The patient is required to be escorted to and from the office with a responsible care taker. During the visit, expect to be treated with exceptional care and treatment. You will have a private room dedicated to you and your family for the pre and post care. It is an inviting atmosphere with leather sofas, beverages and snacks, and a variety of entertainment options including Netflix, Wi-Fi, and iPads. You will have a personal team member overseeing your care until your departure.
